Welcome to my career portfolio. I am presently doing the practical work as a Early Childcare Educator in a childcare centre and handling children between 2 to 5 years of age. My placements as a student directly involve supporting everyday activities, namely, meals, rest periods, transitions, and hygiene activities. I assist lead teachers to design and to stage age-appropriate learning opportunities in a number of achieving ages. I am quite proactive in terms of organising indoor and outdoor activities, promoting social interactions, as well as fostering independence and problem solving behaviours of children.
I also interact and record the learning of the children when I assess the children in form of learning stories and anecdotal records. These experiences have helped me gain a better insight into child development, behaviour management and the importance and power of respectful and responsive relationships. The experience in my placement has also provided me with time to reflect on my practice and becoming a competent part of emerging early childhood practitioner.
Our Services
Long Day Care
Our Centre Provides Full day care, usually from birth to age 5, operating for the hour from 7am to 6pm.
Early Learning Program
We offer play-based education programs guided by EYLF, which supports children's physical, mental, emotional, and cognitive develeopment.
Routine Care
We provide daily care routine such as nappy change, toilet training, hand hygiene, meal assistance, and rest time.
